March 30th 2010 Thus my debut CD release; Let There Be A Massacre has been released on Isar of Grivf and I are now waiting for our split Íss / The Great Plague Imperium The Sol / Blóðtrú split Old Europa Death Chants that was due to be released Trúa of Blóðtrú and I are starting our own label, SÓLVERK, and will be Currently I am working on an album entitled Offer Thy Flesh To The Worms, That's all for now! E.
January 20th 2010 Hereby a little update about what's happening with SOL; The Grívf/Sol split: "Íss/The Great Plague Imperium" will be released on the label Archaic Sound sometime during the February darkness. Isar of Grívf and I are currently working on the cover - and then everything should be ready. The Sol/Blodtrú split: "Old Europa Death Chants" will probably be released on Paradigms Recordings in april 2010. Trúa and I are working on the last details concerning the cover. Also I've talked with Sveinn from my dear old label, Ván. They will re-release "Let There Be A Massacre" on vinyl - this is really cool! They will probably also re-release "I Am Infinity" on vinyl. Lastly we are working on a new Sol album called "Offer Thy Flesh To The Worms". So far we've only finished a couple of tracks which has been sent to Ván; they might wanna release it in a very small edition.
October 9th 2009 Great news: Paradigms Recordings has agreed to release the Sol / Blóðtrú collaboration: Old Europa Death Chants. It is said to be released sometimes early 2010. This is fantastic news! So now Trúa and I will make the last arrangements concerning the cover artwork, and everything will be ready! I’m currently planning the next Sol release. And due to the fact that I have been listening to a lot of old death metal lately it could be something in that alley... But I am also working on some more drone-ish accordion and cello pieces which will probably be on the album as well. I have talked with Danny Jönsson (who played some drums for Sol on Old Europa Death Chants) and Martin Jacobsen (who played some guitar on Let There Be A Massacre & I Am Infinity) to help me with this album. So far we have only recorded some riffs and I have written some lyrics; let’s see where this goes.
September 28th 2009 The Sol/Blodtrú split: Old Europa Death Chants, which was due to be released in 2009 by Ván was stopped in the last minute because of some economical issues. Trúa from Blodtrú and I are therefore looking for a new label to release our glorious split on. More news will follow concerning that. The same economical issues that caused Ván not to release Old Europa Death Chants has also caused that I won’t be releasing anything on Ván for a while. This is offcourse sad – but what can one do? I am looking for a new label to release my coming album, which will be more experimental then Let There Be A Massacre and I Am Infinity. More news will follow and that as well. The Grívf/Sol split: Íss/The Great Plague Imperium which has walked a crooked mile will perhaps never be released... who knows... But last time I talked with Isar of Grívf he told me that Det Germanske Folket is interested in releasing it. Let’s see which way the wind blows – and let’s hope for a release of this great split that has been finished and ready for release in almost two years! Last but not least – thanks to Trúa for creating the solarmassacre site. |
